My favorite songs from each stages of my life

Okay so someone on tiktok gave me the idea of doing a sort of playlist for each stages of my life and as a music lover i could not not do it. Hope you'll enjoy this!

Childhood 2010 (5 years old) - 2016 (11 years old), i was obsessed with movies and had no sense of trends and media so i would just listen to the songs in my favorite movies and tv shows all day and make playlists based on their soundtracks. The artists i was obsessed with at the time: The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Marvin Gaye, Carole King, Weezer, Amy Winehouse, The Cardigans.

Okay so then as a pre teen until the start of the middle of my teenage years (2016 - 2019) my tastes completely changed it was still inspired from the movies i loved at the moment and also instagram edits, very coming of age type of songs. My favorite artists at this point were : Lorde, Rex Orange County, Wallows, Clairo, Videoclub also a lot of Sabrina Carpenter as a pre teen like a LOT. Some of my fav songs at this moment:

And finally highschool 2020-2023 (i just finished highschool) my tastes completely changed again and kind of went back to my childhood tastes. I also started to really get into Lana Del Rey i already liked some of her songs but 2020 was really the start of my love for her (discovered her thanks to Lily Chee who i'll forever be thankful to). My favorite artists since 2020 are Lana Del rey, The Beatles, Phoebe Bridgers, Mazzy Star, Radiohead, Taylor Swift, Fleetwood Mac ( i like a lot more but i'm not going to list them all). I t’s may 8th 2023, 23:56 as i’m writing this. In a few minutes i’ll no longer be 17. 17 was like the perfect middle, not the youngest but not old. 17 was the beginning of the end of my young years.   It’s now midnight, it’s may 9th of 2023 and i’m officially 18 years old. I feel like there should be some sort of dramatic thing happening right now to illustrate this new transition in my life.   But nothing i’m just 18, this age is just the allegory of stress and pressure to me.   18 means i’m no longer a kid and i am taken seriously like i wasn’t in precedent years. Moving On..(frfr this time)

It’s strange looking back on that post i made last november about him called "moving on", almost like reading someone else’s story. Since then, a lot has changed, me, my life, my heart. I really thought I’d be stuck forever  in that haze of half-memories  and lingering what-ifs. But I’m not. And the most surreal part is that he was the one to come back! Right when I felt like I’d finally moved on, he reappeared, like some kind of test to see if I was really free of him.  I’ll admit, for a moment, I let myself hope. Maybe this was the sign I’d been waiting for, the answer to all those prayers. I thought,   " What if he’s the one after all?"   It was tempting to imagine that maybe everything we’d been through meant something and that maybe this time it would be different.
